Cooper and Calli are now FIVE and FOUR! We had a fun weekend celebrating their birthdays, but we also did a little celebrating on their actual birthday on Monday, the 31st.
Cooper had school, and she requested that I bring my homemade chocolate chip cookies to her class. So right before dismissal, Calli and I went up to the school and we passed out cookies and got to hear her class sing her Happy Birthday. She had a birthday crown on, and Ms. Woodward even gave Calli one to wear also!
This was Coop while they were singing to her. Sweet girl!
Calli felt pretty big sitting at the table with Cooper, eating her cookie.
Sitting on the rug, getting ready to go home. She is so big to be doing all this Kindergarten stuff! She will always be the youngest in her class, but we think she is going to do great and is already rocking Kindergarten! :)
After school, we got to go on a scavenger hunt that Randy planned for the girls! He was leading a trip to Seattle on their actual birthday, and Cooper especially was sad that her "snuggle man" wasn't with her. The scavenger hunt helped cheer her up though, and kept us busy until I had small group that night and Aubrey came over to babysit. The girls had clues to open and places we had to go. The first was Shy Pond. I brought some old bread to feed the ducks and we got a little attacked by them!
From there, the next clue sent us to the library. We went in for a little bit to return some books and check out new ones and even ran into Cooper's friend Tristan and his mom, Mrs. Liz, Calli's teacher!
The third clue sent us to Food King and then the fourth clue told us to buy some snacks and drinks to have a little birthday party with Aubrey that evening while I was gone. The girls picked out Gatorade and Zebra cakes for their treats. And candy corn. Random, but fun!
We had a fun birthday and kept counting down the days until our family came down and we celebrated at the skating rink!
