The Houston Live Stockshow and Rodeo was the last few weeks of March and we had a friend give us tickets to go one night! It was a Wednesday, and we knew it would be a late night, but we decided it would be fun for the girls to go and wear their new cowboy boots and see all the animals and the rodeo. So we headed up to Houston after Kendall finished piano lessons for what ended up being one of the craziest nights of our lives. But we had an absolute blast as a family at the rodeo and made some great memories!
We took a family picture in the awesome parking space our friends gave us a pass for before we walked in. We were so close to the rodeo and it was so nice.
I love these cowgirls!
They were so excited to ride the big escalator up and down. We had decided we weren't going to spend any time or money at the carnival, so we joked that we let them ride a ride! And they were happy! :)
Kendall loves pigs and loved seeing the newborn baby pigs!
Then we went in to the rodeo! We got to see the little kids do muttin bustin, barrel racing, calf roping, and bronco and bull riding! The girls were totally entertained and loved it! It was fun to watch them experience everything and to teach them about all the different events at the rodeo. Kendall was especially concerned about how they got the bulls and broncos to buck the way they did. Randy and I were laughing so much.
We thought ahead to bring Calli's headphones and it made such a difference! They were a big help and she loved them!
We had such a great time and made so many great, new memories. We left the arena at 9:30, and had one of the scariest times of our lives, but we were thankful for a fun night together before that!
