Ft. Worth weekend!

We made a quick trip to Ft. Worth last weekend for Gracie's 3rd birthday! Randy took off half a day Thursday, so we left after Kendall got out of school at 1. We made it to Granny and Papas' house in record time - before 7!  Alden and Scott came over for dinner and we had a great time just hanging out!
Cooper hopped up in the chair and had to have a blanket just like Kendall did. It cracks us up - every time she sits on our big chair at home or on a couch, she has to pull a pillow over into her lap and have a blanket on. Creature of habit!
Friday morning we got up early and met our best friends from college at Chick fil A for breakfast! It was our first time to see Michelle since she's been home from Mali, Amy and David were coming through on their way to Angel Fire, and we got to meet Courtney and Trent's new baby Karsyn! It was a fun, spontaneous meet-up and we loved seeing everyone!

After a long breakfast and playtime we drove over to Richland Hills to see Kiki's library! She is the new library director for the city of Richland Hills and Kendall was so excited to see her library. That girl loves the library. She even brought her library card from home so she could check out books. Kiki gave her a library card for Richland Hills so now she can check out books here and there! Kendall also had fun this weekend delivering her valentines to all her grandparents. This is a picture of her giving Kiki her valentine. After checking out the library we met Pops for lunch. The girls loved getting to see their Kiki and Pops!
Friday afternoon we drove to Gigi and Peeps and spent the night there Friday night. Val and Jeff came over for dinner with Gracie and Evy....and Michelle too! We got to see her Friday morning and then Friday night, and the three of us even got to go for a Starbucks date after bathtime. It was fun to get to go and catch up with her. We have missed our third daughter! :)
Saturday morning was Gracie's third birthday party! We packed up and headed over to their house for the princess party. Kendall had decided to wear her Barbie dress. She had so much fun, and so did Cooper!
Val had little princesses for the girls to paint and decorate! They loved it!
Cooper even got an early birthday present from Aunt Brenda! She made all the grandkids the cutest owl pillows for their birthdays, and she also gave Cooper an Ariel doll. Kendall has one that she got when she was a flower girl in December, and sometimes Cooper likes to play with it. When she opened her present, she immediately grabbed the doll and started pointing to the box it was in saying, "Out! Out!" She was so excited - we loved seeing her get excited for something that was all her's!
She loved the princess crown and party favors, too!

She even let Grandma Dane hold her for awhile! I think after we took this picture and she set her down, Cooper walked back up to her and held her arms up! They are buddies.

We had such a fun time celebrating Gracie! After the party we went to my favorite fast food, Taco Bueno for lunch before hitting the road. Then, for dinner, we stopped in Pearland at another of our favorite places - Raising Canes! It was a great food day. :)
It was a fast trip, but we had fun getting to see everyone! We love our family!
