Valentine's Day 2012

We had a fun time celebrating Valentine's Day this year! We started the day before by baking some cookies to put on a stick and take to school for Kendall's classmates. Kendall got a princess cookbook and apron from Jan and Kevin for her birthday, so she was excited to use both for Valentine's Day!
These girls love to bake. Cooper has to be right up there on the chair with Kendall and both of them are crazy about licking the beaters. It is fun to bake with them!
For her Valentine's cards this year, I ordered cards with her picture on them. They turned out really cute and were inexpensive! There were three different cards (all with the same picture of her, though) and she had fun picking out which card to give to each friend. She wrote her name on each envelope and did a great job! She is getting really good at writing her name!
On Tuesday, Valentine's Day, Kendall went to school and then came home and the girls took a nap. When they got up from their nap, we had an email invitation from Dad asking us to a Valentine's Dance! He even said to wear a fancy dress! So before he got home, we got all dressed up and were ready for our dance partner! He had gone to get presents for the girls and snacks and Little Debbie snacks for when we needed to take a snack break during the dance. :)
And then the dancing began!!
Cooper thought that when we would dance, every once in awhile we had to "all fall down" like in Ring Around the Rosie. She cracks us up!
For her fancy dress, Kendall chose her flower girl dress from Lauren's wedding. She looked beautiful!
We are so thankful for such a fun Valentine! He is so creative and makes us all feel so special - and not just on Valentine's Day!
The girls got lots of fun cards and gifts from all their grandparents too! Great Granny and Aunt Doris also sent cards. It was fun to get mail all week! Thank yall!
And here's just a fun picture of one of our Valentines! Cooper got this sucker from Gigi and Peeps and it was an absolute mess!! We took a few pictures before we put her in the bath, though! She was loving that!
Happy Valentine's Day! We love our sweet girls!
