Last week after school on Tuesday we met Holly, Ethan, and Ella in Houston at the zoo! Every first Tuesday of the month is free zoo day after 2pm, so it works out great for us to leave school at 1, drive up to Houston and be there at 2! I was hoping the girls would take a quick nap on the way up, but they didn't really fall asleep until ten minutes before we pulled into the zoo parking lot. I sat there for a little bit and let them sleep, and then we went on in the zoo to meet Holl!
It was a beautiful day to be outside and the girls had fun riding in the wagon. They were also so excited to see Ethan and Ella! I didn't take many pictures - the zoo is busy with two! - but we had a ton of fun and enjoyed seeing all the animals.
On our way into the reptile house. The snakes were on the move that day and Kendall and Cooper loved that! Normally they are just laying still, but that day they were moving all around. Eeek!
We spent some time in the children's part of the zoo playing on the playground and sliding down the slide next to the otter's slide. Kendall was sad they weren't moving much - they were all huddled up in a corner sleeping.
It was so funny to watch Cooper all day - she would copy every single thing Kendall was doing. She loved sliding with Kendall!
We got in the car to head home around 5:00 and they slept until we got home at 6:30! There was some traffic on our way home, but the girls just slept right through it. They were worn out! It was a fun day at the zoo with fun friends!
