Pops came to Lake Jackson to see us this weekend! He and Kiki were planning on coming to visit but Kiki ended up having to work, so she wasn't able to come. We missed her, but were thankful that Dad came on by himself anyway!
Friday night we had an event to go to, so Pops kept the girls by himself! They played, he fed them dinner, and then even got them both to bed. I was impressed!
Saturday we woke up and drove out to Alvin to the wildlife park! We have only been once before, and it was last January for Ella's birthday. Kendall and Cooper were very excited about seeing the animals!
And then the animals started coming up to the little train for food. Kendall freaked. Cooper was enjoying the ride, but notice Kendall: down in the floorboard. She was terrified of the animals at first, and we kept having her go back and forth from us over to Pops depending on which side the animals were coming to.
We were in the best possible place, though, because we were up a little higher in the back of the truck than the rest of the group in the trailer part. She eventually warmed up and was able to enjoy herself, but it took awhile!
The ostriches were a little agressive!
Still pretty unsure...Cooper was loving it, though! She would wave goodbye to each animal as we drove off. :)
These girls were loving being with their Pops this weekend! Even Cooper, who is usually pretty attached to her Daddy was wanting Pops all the time! So sweet! Cutest giraffe ever!
Funny little monkey!
And then, look at this! When we got off the train, a deer was standing there and Kendall walked right up and pet it! You just never know what she's going to do!
She was very excited about getting to go on a pony ride!
Such a big girl - she got up there all by herself, let the girl help her, and had so much fun!
We had a fun time at the park! On the way home, we stopped at Pops' favorite place to eat: Whataburger! Such a fun day!
After the girls took naps Saturday afternoon, Pops came back over for dinner and even mowed the yard for Randy! Randy was working on his message because he preached this Sunday. We had a good night just hanging around the house Saturday night and then Pops met us at church Sunday morning. We had such a fun weekend with him and were so thankful that he came down! We can't wait to see you in a few weeks, too, Kiki!! Love yall so much!!
