My college friends and I had a girls' night last week!! I was so excited that we were able to work it out and we just had so much fun. Michelle and I were roommates in college and Amy and Courtney were roommates. We were together all.the.time. Now we have a reunion once a year in Longview where Amy and David live, and we look forward to it every year. All of our families come, so this past year that meant that there were 8 kids running around. 8. We usually stay together for two nights and we love it, but we were really looking forward to a night with just the girls - no kids!!
Amy drove over from Longview and Courtney, Michelle and I were all in Ft. Worth already. Randy had left for Cambodia the day before. We met in Southlake Town Center and stayed at the Hilton there. We got there around mid-afternoon on the 27th and were together until lunch the next day. So much fun!!
When we got there, we checked in at the hotel and then walked around the town center for awhile shopping. It was so great to take as long as we wanted in whichever stores we wanted, not worrying about watching kids or having to get back to relieve a sitter.

For dinner, we ate at the Cheesecake Factory. Yum! We sat forever and shared dinners but not dessert. We loved catching up, laughing a lot (Courtney) and talking about everything in the world from deep, serious things to silly things. I just love these girls. And I can't believe we're coming up on 10 years out of college. That is just craziness.

Friday morning we woke up and went to get pedicures.
Then we ate lunch at the Corner Bakery. It was so cold (still some snow on the ground!) but we loved walking around and shopping and just being together!
Girls, I just love yall so much and love that we were able to make this happen! Thanks for being such sweet, real friends after so many years. And thanks for taking care of the girls, Mom!! It was so nice to know I didn't have to worry about anything and I could just take my time!
I'm thinking I would be fine if this happened once a month....:)
