Thanksgiving 2013

Last week we went to Ft. Worth for the whole week! We left on Sunday and came back home on Sunday. This was our first time to go since Calli came home in April, so it had been a long time! We tried camping at Yogi Bear in June with Gigi and Peeps and Calli didn't sleep well at all, being away from home. So we decided not to travel until we thought she might do better. Then Kendall started school in August and it's just not as easy to make trips up anymore! So we've been looking forward to Thanksgiving for awhile and were excited to see everyone.
We started the week at Granny and Papas' house. They just moved this past weekend, so this was our last chance to stay with them in their old house! We got there late Sunday night and left Tuesday before lunch, so all day Monday we just stayed home and rested and played. The girls played with the dogs, made shaving cream paint with Granny, watched movies, and just had a great time relaxing. It was great!
Kendall loves Sunny so much! She just lets her drag her around the house, lay on her, and rough house with her. So sweet!

And Calli slept great! We tried her in the pack n play in the laundry room Sunday night, but quickly realized that the pack n play scares her! She would get so upset when we tried to lay her in it. Kendall and Cooper were asleep in their room, so we made a pallet on the floor of our room and she slept great all night! This picture was from when she fell asleep on our bed for her nap on Monday. We were so thankful she slept so well!!
 Loving on Dennis!

Tuesday morning they helped Granny clean out the hall closet, then thought it looked like bunk beds! :)
Tuesday we had a very cool lunch that I will blog about later. After that lunch, we moved to Kiki and Pops' house! Kiki had ornaments ready for the girls to paint, and Wednesday Pops took the girls to the new candy store in Roanoke! Tuesday night we got to see Auggie and Sock, and Great Granny and Donna. We loved it!
Kiki painting with Cooper, Calli and Kendall!

At the candy store with Pops! It was so cute!! Look at that big container of Smarties!

Kendall and Cooper shared a bed at Kiki and Pops' and they slept so well together the two nights we were there. Calli slept on a mattress on our floor  and she did great too!
Laying on Calli's mattress, watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday morning! Randy took this picture because he loved seeing all three of their hair color! Black, red, and blonde!

Last year we started going to only two places on Thanksgiving day. So this year we went to Grandma Dane's for lunch and Mom's for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. I didn't take very many pictures on Thursday or much after that, so here are just a few that I have!
Happy first Thanksgiving, Calli girl!!

Thursday night we moved to Gigi and Peeps' house! The girls stayed there three nights and we stayed Thursday and Friday night and then got to go away Saturday night for our tenth anniversary! The girls got to play with their cousins so much, play on the new swing set Peeps was building, and we even got to visit with our friends Bob and Jen Griner and their boys! Saturday morning, Gigi and Peeps took us and Val, Jeff, the girls and Ollie to see Frozen! It was so much fun to all go to the movies together and it was such a cute movie! Thanks Gigi and Peeps!
A full row at the movies. Kendall and Cooper did so well and Calli did....ok. I was up and down with her a few times, but she did pretty good for her first movie.
The first night, we tried all three girls in their bedroom together. It worked! Calli actually finally settled down and went to sleep, after Cooper and Kendall had fallen asleep. The two nights after that, she slept in our room, but it was so sweet to see them all three asleep together!
Saturday afternoon, Randy took me away for the night for our anniversary! We ate dinner at Uncle Julios, and then went back to the hotel to watch the Aggie game. It was so nice to get away and have some time together without the girls. We're so thankful Gigi and Peeps kept the girls for us!
Sunday we slept late, went and had lunch back at their house and then hit the road for Lake Jackson! We left at 2:30 and didn't get home until 9 - traffic on 45 was crazy! I think everyone in Texas was headed home after Thanksgiving break. It was good to be home, but we had a great trip and are excited to be back in just 3 weeks!
