Molly Turns 10!

This girl turned 10 on September 24th! She is our first baby. We got her almost a year after we got married and she is spoiled rotten. We hear that's how it is with most dachshunds. She sleeps in our bed, under the covers with us. She has two homes, between ours and our neighbor Frannie's house, and she even has a ramp that leads up to our bed because of her back trouble she had early on in her life. Rotten.
Early in September one night, Randy mentioned to the girls that Molly was about to have a birthday and that she would be ten this year. The girls said, "We need to start planning her party!" We said, "Well of course she needs a party!" They had so much fun planning it and even though it is a bit ridiculous to have a dog birthday party, we made some great memories and the girls had a blast.
Cooper helped me make invitations that we delivered to some of Molly's friends.

We invited Kaitlin and Michelle, our neighbor Frannie (whose precious husband and our sweet friend Mr. Bud passed away earlier in the month. We were so shocked and so sad. It still doesn't seem real that he isn't next door.), Greg and Kathy's dog Buddy and Debbie and Steve's dog Kona.

They loved deciding what decorations and food we needed to have. It was pretty fun to work together making everything!

We got everything ready and then our guests started to arrive! Here are Kona and Buddy, saying hello.

Molly was a little bit of a bad hostess and had to be put in our room by herself for part of the time. We brought her out for cake and presents though, after we ate hot dogs.

It was so much fun to be silly and have a party for Molly. And the girls just loved it! Happy 10th Molly! We love you so much (obviously)!
