Chinese New Year 2016

Chinese New Year fell on Monday, February 8th this year. We had small group that night, so we celebrated on Tuesday the 9th with dinner at the house with friends. The Mitterlings, Michelle, and Kathy came over for dinner and we had a great time together. That morning, I went up to Calli's school after their lunch time and read a book with Calli during their end of day circle time. The book was about Chinese New Year traditions and customs. Then she passed out little oranges to all her friends. It was such a special time of being able to share about where Calli was born, and traditions that are important to the Chinese people. I am so thankful for her school and her teachers and how they love Calli so well and always make her feel special.
