Halloween Parade 2012

We had our 4th annual Halloween parade on the day before Halloween! This is such a fun tradition and we have loved how it has grown each year. The first year it was just a few families, the second year we invited more of our friends with little kids, last year we passed out fliers to the neighbors so they could be involved, and this year we did the same. Two weeks ago we printed up some invitations, and Kendall, Cooper and I went up and down the street inviting our neighbors to either participate in the parade if they had young kids or pass out candy and be the crowd if they didn't.

Kendall rode her bike and Cooper rode in the stroller. I think she was pretending her and her baby were asleep in this picture.
Tuesday we set up for the parade and decorated the garage.
Our friends started arriving around 6. The girls were excited to get in their wagon and get ready!
Caleb sat with Cooper for awhile.
Cooper stayed pretty close to us all night - she was a little overwhelmed by all the people at our house! We had over 130 friends involved in the parade this year -- a record!
We weren't able to get pictures of everyone, but here are a few! The Mitterlings minus Caleb.
Matt and Erin from our small group - they were awesome angry birds!
Kendall with her friend Emma from school! They are best buddies and she was so glad she was there!
 Kendall with Brittany!
The Scarborough family! So cute! Amber and Garrett are twins and in Cooper's class at church.
The Walker family! Love the Disney theme!
Ben and Carlette and their puppy family! A little football team!
Lindsey and Patrick - Super Readers! Patrick is SuperWhy and Lindsey is Wonder Red!
Eli and Aubin Finney - Princess Pea and Alpha Pig!
 The Hulk!
Nicole with Colby - cute little puppy. Nicole was pregnant at the parade last year!
Check out that crowd! Ready to start the parade from our driveway!
Kendall, Cooper, and I led the parade down the street!

So thankful for sweet neighbors who look forward every year to sitting outside and handing out candy! We couldn't have a parade without our "crowd!" I told one of our older neighbors thanks for coming and he said, "Oh yeah, we wouldn't miss it! It wouldn't be Halloween without it!" Love that!

After the parade we all came back to the garage and the kids decorated and ate cupcakes! I think that may be Kendall's favorite part!
We just love our Halloween tradition and are so thankful for all our friends and neighbors that come and make it happen! Already looking forward to next year's parade!
