Half of the Bandits Have a Sleepover!

Amy and her girls came to Lake Jackson for the weekend a couple of weeks ago! We weren't able to travel to Longview for our annual Bandit reunion this summer because Calli wasn't ready to travel yet. We missed seeing the Vests and the Mitchells, so we've been trying to figure out how we could get them down here. The school year is pretty hard, but Amy's girls aren't in school yet, so she was able to bring them down for the weekend. David had to stay and get caught up on some work, so it was Randy, me, Amy and our SIX girls! It was so much fun!! 6 girls, all 5 and under, in our house for two nights. We went into it with low expectations as to how it would go and how much we would sleep, but it really went better than we thought it would! It wasn't too crowded, everyone slept some, and we just really had a great time. The weather was perfect all weekend, so we were able to send the girls out to play and we enjoyed getting to catch up.
Friday when they got here we played out on the driveway before dinner. Amy and I even ended up taking all 6 for a walk around the block while Randy cooked dinner.

Kendall is the oldest (5), Kate is next (4 almost 5), then Cooper (3), Hannah (2 almost 3), Calli (2), and Natalie is the baby (1).
Saturday, Randy made pancakes for us. That's a big stack of pancakes!
Helping deflate the air mattress. Randy and I slept on this in the living room, our girls slept in their beds, Natalie slept in the pack n play in our bathroom, and Amy, Hannah and Kate slept in our room. Kate tried having a sleepover with Cooper and Kendall both nights, but ended up in Amy's room both nights. :)

Saturday morning we went to the pumpkin patch! The girls were very excited about this.

We got mini pumpkins for the girls to come home and put stickers on. Saturday afternoon, the little girls took naps while the big girls played in the backyard, and Randy, Amy and I watched the Aggie game. It was the most perfect afternoon!

That night we ate dinner at home again and then did baths and played nail salon! All the girls got their nails or toenails painted, even Natalie! It was her first nail painting!

Showing off their nails. Not the easiest thing to keep these 6 still for their nails to dry! :)

Sunday morning, Amy and I got all 6 to church EARLY! We were pretty impressed with ourselves. The girls did great going to their classes, and Randy was preaching so that was fun for Amy to be there for that. We were sad that Michelle was in Ft. Worth this weekend, but she was back for church on Sunday, so we had lunch with her.

It was SUCH a fun weekend. I was so thankful that Amy braved driving down here by herself with all three and was so flexible, staying with us and spending the weekend. I just love her and our visits together. Being a mom of three littles is crazy sometimes and it's nice to have friends that understand and can walk with you through all the crazy. We graduated 10 years ago and a lot has changed since then! Pretty sure it's only getting more and more fun, for all of us. Courtney, we missed you and your crazy three. We are already looking forward to next summer!! Love you girls!
