Funny Cooper

Our Cooper is always saying funny things that make us laugh. I've been writing a few down lately and wanted to record them here, so that we can look back and remember our funny girl.

One day in the car, Cooper pointed left and asked if we were turning that way. I told her, no, we were going right, and pointed. She said, "So this is my left foot, and this is my right," pointing to the correct feet. I told her that she was correct! She said, "Great! Now I can do the hokey pokey!" So funny - we didn't know she had been waiting so long to be able to do the hokey pokey!

She heard someone say the word "stupid" on tv one day, which we don't let the girls say. She looked at Randy and said, "Dad. We do NOT say 'stupid.' We say 'I do not like you.'" Randy said maybe we were missing something on that lesson. :)

One day in the car, Kendall asked Randy why he raises his hands sometimes at church when we are singing. She comes to "big church" with us every once in awhile. Randy explained that it's kind of like when he gets excited at home when he is watching Aggie football. He said he is just excited and thankful for what Jesus has done for us. He asked the girls if they remember how sometimes he gets a little excited when the Aggies are on. They said, "yes - you get crazy sometimes!" Cooper said, "Dad. It's good that you don't go crazy at church. Because then people would stare at you and blink their eyes." :)

Coop asked me if she could read a book on my Kindle one afternoon, and I told her I thought the batteries were dead and it needed to be charged. I walked in a little later to her and Calli sitting together with the Kindle in between them, and Cooper said, "Calli, it says 'The Batteries are Dead, by Mo Willems." Mo Willems is one of their favorite authors - cracking me up!

I asked her to go find some chapstick that she had taken out of my purse. She went in her room and came back out and said, "Mom. I've got good news and I've got bad news. The bad news is, I can't find it. The good news is, I love you!" How did she even come up with that? She is hysterical.

This girl keeps us laughing all the time. She's just so sweet and we love how her little mind works.
