At the end of the year, the school has a reading team party for all the students in each grade that made the reading team that year. Kendall made the reading team earlier this Spring, when she had read enough books and taken enough Accelerated Reader tests to have 25 points. Each test is worth half a point, so that meant she had read at least 50 books and taken tests on them. By the end of the year, she had met her goal of 50 points, by earning 52 points and having the most AR points in her whole class! We are so proud of all her hard work.
The first grade reading team party was on a Friday, so Randy was able to go and volunteer to help. They got to make ice cream sundaes and then play Bingo to try to win prizes. Kendall loved it and Randy enjoyed getting to see her with her friends.
