New Playhouse!

The girls have a new playhouse in the backyard! Peeps and Randy built the girls' little yellow house back in 2010, right after Cooper was born. We have loved the house and the girls have enjoyed playing in it, but it had started to get termites, and the gulf coast weather just hadn't been very great on it. So we decided it needed to be torn down and we needed to do something different in it's place.
I found some pictures of when it was first built. Randy and Peeps worked about 3 days in the off-and-on rain to get it built.

Granny came the next weekend and planted flowers in the window boxes.

And then Pops and Kiki came shortly after that and helped us paint it!

It had a slide out the window, our address on the front, a doorbell, and two swings, that have changed over the years from a regular swing and a baby swing to two regular swings. We have good memories watching the girls play in that house!

We had a conference to go to in April, and Gigi and Peeps were coming down to stay with the girls for the week. Peeps said that while he was here, he would build the new fort the girls were wanting. Before they came, Randy did all the demo. It was sad to us, but the girls were just fine - excited about what was coming next!
And here are the pictures we got throughout the week of the progress! We left the side with the swings, and Peeps added the new awesome fort! It even has a pulley on the back with a bucket so the girls can raise and lower their stuff! The slide comes off the front, and it's just so awesome! They love it. Peeps did all the work himself and so fast!

Then he added a trapeze on the side and that has been something new and fun that the girls have all enjoyed. Kendall and Cooper have learned lots of tricks and Calli can hang on it for days. We've already been enjoying it lots, with picnics and tons of play time. Our plan is to paint it this summer after school is out, and maybe add some fun window boxes and curtains. Thank you Gigi and Peeps!! We love it!!
