July misc

Just a few other random pictures from July:
We met some great new friends who have also adopted from China! They visited Brazos Pointe for a few weeks this summer and when we met them I told Randy I wanted to have them over for dinner. Kind of random - but I just wanted to hear their story and meet them and their kids. We had them over one Sunday night and the girls loved playing with their kids. They were missionaries in China, fostered and then adopted their little boy and little girl. Their daughter had cleft lip and palate as well so it was great to share experiences and learn from each other! So fun!
Our sweet Molly girl. She's getting so old and gray. We had a little scare with a neck/back injury this month, but the doctor put her on some meds that seem to have helped! We're thankful she is back to her normal, grumpy self. :)
Dad went to the beach one day with us! It is not his favorite place - because, as he says, he doesn't like the sun, the sand, or the salt. But we set up two umbrellas for him, got plenty of snacks, and he did great! :) Debbie and Michelle went with us and we all had a fun day at the beach.

Our agency, Lifeline, encouraged kids during the month of July to #StandForOrphans. We chose to have a lemonade stand to raise money for orphan care to send to our agency, and the girls were very excited about it. We had lots of generous friends and customers. The girls had a goal of raising $250 and they were able to raise $283! Amber and Garrett were our first customers of the day.

And then, for a few days in July, the girls stayed in Ft. Worth while Randy and I were just at home in Lake Jackson! It was a great break to be home with no kids, and they had a blast at all of their grandparents' houses. I loved this picture Mom took of them playing with the little frogs in her pool - Calli's reaction is priceless!
Michelle and I went on a date one night while the girls were gone.

Then Mom met me halfway with them in College Station to give them back! We had to eat lunch at one of our favorites - Fuego!
