Kendall's second grade music show was last Thursday, March 3rd. The show was titled "Education is Bigger in Texas" and the songs were all really cute. The biggest deal of all for the Dane family, though, was that Kendall tried out for a dancing part and even made it! She has never wanted to try out for a speaking part or a dancing part, so we were surprised when she told us that she wanted to try out for what she called "the cotton-eyed cho." Then she found out she made it and was so excited! She practiced with videos for several months and told us all the time about the new parts she had learned to "the cotton-eyed cho." We never corrected her- we loved how she thought that was the title!
The second graders performed the show once on Thursday morning and then again that night. In the evening performance, her partner wasn't there, so she was moved to another partner in a different part of the stage - and she still did such a great job! We were very proud of her and loved watching her do something she loved!
