We have spent a little time at the library this summer! Kendall has her own library card now and she was so excited to get to participate in the summer reading club for the first time! Cooper loves coming to the library, too!
A lot of what the girls enjoy doing at the library doesn't have much to do with reading. :) They love to put on puppet shows, play with all the stuffed animals, and do puzzles. Then we pick out books and movies and go check out!
For the summer reading program, we keep a list of all the books we read together. Every time we get to 10 books, we can bring her list in and she gets a prize! We went this week to show her first ten books and she got a certificate and a card for one admission to the rec center. She is almost at 20 books already! I loved participating in the summer reading club growing up, so I'm glad Kendall is having so much fun!
After we left the library we walked right over to the splash pad! It is right next to the library and Kendall loved playing in the fountains last year. She was excited to get to play in them for the first time this summer.
Cooper, on the other hand, wanted no part of it! Kendall kept trying to come get her, but she just wanted to sit in the shade (read: hang with the mosquitoes) and watch. She never did decide to go play!
She is fussing at Kendall about something here. Sweet face. I think she was just trying to figure out why in the world Kendall would want to run in those fountains!
