Happy 5th Birthday Kendall Nicole!!

We had a wonderful day celebrating Kendall's actual birthday yesterday! We just cannot believe she is already five! That is so old! This will be a big year in her life - she will become a big sister again and she will start Kindergarten! So much excitement. And who knows what else?

After we ate breakfast and played inside for a little bit in the morning, we went on a walk/bike ride. On Mondays and Tuesdays I watch a little baby, so it was quite the adventure taking all 3 kids on a walk! Kendall rode her bike and Cooper walked with me while I pushed Hayes in the stroller. We just went around the block but it was nice to be outside on such a pretty day!

This is a house on the end of our street that has a waterfall in their front yard. The girls love love love to walk to it and then walk up the sidewalk and check out the waterfall and pond. It was all dry today though! Still fun to look at. :)

For lunch we had a picnic in the front yard!

Kendall had two special deliveries of flowers on her birthday! One was from her Daddy and she was so excited! The other was from Gigi and Peeps! Here are the flowers from them - so fun!

After rest time we took Kendall to her dance class. She is doing so well and I love watching her try something new.
Then, for dinner we met the Erskines and the Pickerings at Chick fil A! Kendall was excited to see them and she was very excited that they brought her presents. :) Debbie and Steve gave her four princess puzzles...

and Kathy and Greg gave her a jewelry making kit! She was so happy. :) It was so sweet of them to come celebrate with us.
One of the workers saw Kendall's presents and asked if it was her birthday. They brought her and Cooper these cows, a fun party hat and two chocolate sundaes!! They got the hook-up!

After that, we went to spend some birthday money that Kendall (and Cooper) had gotten in the mail from Granny and Papas! We were headed to Target, but stopped at Hobby Lobby first to buy a frame for Calli's puzzle. Kendall found plenty of stuff she wanted to buy there - this girl loves art! She picked out lots of fun art projects and so did Cooper! We have been busy already.

Cooper had some coins in her hand, and her art book. At one point she walked up to us and said, "I have my monies in my dress!" She was pretty proud of how she figured out how to hold everything. She cracks us up!

We did end up going to Target because I wanted to get Kendall's new booster seat we are going to move her into when Calli gets here! Cooper will move up to Kendall's current seat and Calli will sit in Cooper's current seat. Musical chairs!
When we got home, Kendall asked if she could make a necklace with the bead kit from the Pickerings. She was so excited to do that!
We had a great day celebrating our big 5 year old! Kendall, we are so proud of you and we are loving every minute of watching you grow up. I just wish it could slow down just a little! You are so sweet to your sister, so thankful, so funny, and we love seeing how your little mind works. You ask the best questions! We have loved seeing you prepare to welcome Calli into our family and can't wait to watch you with her. You have some pretty sweet friends and we are thankful for the families God has placed in our lives with girls for you to grow up with. You are so excited about Kindergarten starting this fall, and even though it makes Mom a little sad, we look forward to seeing all you will learn and experience starting school. We love you precious girl!!! Happy 5th birthday!!
