Our friends the Beams are in Texas for the month! They moved to Okinawa, Japan last year and we have missed them so much. They are spending time with both their parents and some time in Lake Jackson, so we saw them for just a day last week and then they will be back next week to stay longer. We love anytime we can spend with them. Kendall talks about Brynlee, Aubrey, and Lawson all the time and says she misses them. She was super excited about spending the afternoon with them!
Stephanie and the kids came to church Sunday morning (Jason flew in a week later) and we went to Lisa's for lunch and so the kids could swim. Here's all the kids (and Lisa and me).
Later in the afternoon, Stephanie's kids were asking to come over so they stopped by on their way out of town. The kids had so much fun playing! Stephanie loved getting to meet Calli for the first time. They have been such a support to us throughout her adoption, and we loved getting to all be together.
Brynlee is just enough older than Kendall that she really looks up to her. And Brynlee is so sweet to always play with her. Anytime Kendall asks to do something that is "grown-up," she says she wants to do it "like Brynlee." "I want a side ponytail - like Brynlee." "One day when I am old - like Brynlee." So sweet.
We had a great visit and can't wait until they are here for longer! So thankful for these sweet friendships!
