We had a fun family day on Friday! Randy took the day off from Servolution prep and we went to Houston for the day. When Daddy is home, the girls always ask for pancakes. When Randy was cooking Friday, Cooper asked him to hold her. I love this picture so much.
On our way through Pearland, we stopped and had the girls' hair cut. Here is Kendall's "before" picture - getting so long and a little stringy. Cooper has had her bangs cut before, but this was the first time we had the ends trimmed on her hair. She did so well!
All finished! We cut about two inches off Kendall's hair and just trimmed Cooper's hair and bangs. So precious! They love hair cut day. :)
After hair cuts, we went to Panera for lunch.
Kendall loved the obstacle course, and taught Cooper how to do it too!
Building a bridge - Daddy really got into this. :)
There is a whole Kidtropolis, pretend city. There is a bank, city hall, police station, hospital, vets office, restaurant, art studio, news station, and grocery store. The girls loved the grocery store and the vet office.
Cooper brushing her puppy.
On the second floor, there is a toddler only play area that Cooper enjoyed. I stayed there with her while Randy took Kendall to do a few older kid things. Cooper said this was her favorite part. :)
Funny mirrors!
This was a sound tube that went up to the ceiling and across the room. Randy was on the other side of the room talking to them and they could hear him. Cool!
Talking on the phone, watching her Daddy talk back to her!
One of the exhibits that day was Oobleck. I used to make that with my kids at school. Cooper loved playing with it, but Kendall didn't want to get dirty.
Outside there is a Water Works area that was closed for maintenance, a playground, a little house with nature exhibits in it (and even eggs and live chicks!), and a puppet theater. We spent a lot of time outside - it was so pretty! The girls had fun putting on puppet shows.
We had such a fun day! I love days like this. And the girls do too! When we got in the car, totally unprompted, Kendall said, "Mom, thank you for all the fun things we did today!" So sweet!
