We have had a fun Easter weekend! Yesterday was the Monical's annual crawfish boil and pool party. This is one of our favorite Lake Jackson traditions! We love seeing our friends and spending time outside, eating lots of good food! The girls stayed in the pool the whole time we were there - about 4 hours! They loved it.
Our friends Laura and Justin were there with their son Easton. Easton is one day younger than Calli, so he has been kind of our measuring stick as to how big she is. Cooper and Kendall love Easton - with his red hair he looks like he could be their brother! They had a lot of fun playing with him.
Cooper stayed on the steps the whole time - Randy and I didn't swim, but she did great hanging out on the side or on the steps. She was content to sit and watch the big kids play. Kendall swam all around the pool and hot tub, diving off the diving board and swimming great! They were worn out last night.
After that, Mary and Sarah were heading to get pedicures so we tagged along! This was a special treat for Kendall - I have always said she wasn't old enough to do that yet, but Randy said to let her go - it would be fun! So we had a little date and it was really great time for just the two of us to hang out. She was a little timid at first, but she watched Sarah and then felt more confident. She had her toes and fingernails painted and they look great! I need to take some pictures of the finished product. :)
Both of the girls crashed hard last night - it was a busy and fun day! Great time to spend together as a family before we leave them for two weeks.
