This is one of our most favorite days of the year and such a fun tradition for our family - and our neighbors and friends! The girls and I rode bikes and scooters down the street earlier in the month, passing out our parade fliers and letting all our neighbors know that the parade would be on Thursday, the 30th this year. We invited all our friends on facebook and we had such a big turn out this year! I didn't get a count, but it was well over a hundred, and what was super fun to me was that our neighbors have started inviting their kids and grandkids and even their friends to come be a part of the parade as well! It's just growing and growing and it's so fun to meet our neighbors, hang out together, let the kids dress up in their costumes another night besides Halloween, and just party together!
The girls wanted to be Elsa, Anna, and Olaf this year. Pops and Kiki bought them their Halloween costumes and they loved them! Well, Kendall and Calli loved theirs. Cooper loved hers right up until it was time to get dressed for the parade, and then she did not want to put it on. We finally got it on her though, and got her ready for the parade. That's why she has such a sad face in some of the pictures, though. She looked super cute!
We decorated the wagon the night before with "snow" and "icicles" to match our Frozen theme. The girls loved decorating the wagon.
The girls and I started the parade off from our house once all our friends had arrived!
The Hiatt Pirates! Love it!
Cooper had an Olaf friend - Charlotte! She seemed much happier to be in her costume.
Jenny took a lot of really great photos - a lot of these are hers.
The Hintze family - a horse, Harry Potter, a tired mom, and a frog.
Kendall's teacher, Ms. Tiller, came with her two sons! She loved getting to see her.
Adorable Abigail as Minnie Mouse.
Michelle and Kaitlin were Glenda and Elphaba. They are totally committed.
The McKay family was Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and the mom (can't remember her name). So cute!
Sarah and Caleb - Elsa and Batman! Love Caleb's pose.
Amber and Garrett, Bella and Cami. Alivia was there too - I think she was probably with Kendall. Those two are sweet friends.
Eden was rocking the hula skirt!
There's the rest of Charlotte's crew - Olivia and Skylar.
The Calhouns - loved Lisa's "Bump Ahead!" She's expecting this Spring!
After the parade, we came back to the house and had cupcakes, lemonade, and all kinds of goodies. The kids ran around the yards and played for awhile, and everyone left pretty early because it was still a school night. We had such a good time and are so thankful for all the friends that come and make the parade such a fun night!
