November did end up being a little less busy than October, and we had lots of fun this month, making lots of memories. I just love our little family and all the times we get to have together. They make me happy.
We had a going-away reception after church one Sunday for our elementary director, Kaitlin. Kendall, and our whole family, is sad to lose her but excited about her opportunity to go home to Louisiana to work at her home church there. Here are our kids and the Mitts at the reception. These 6 - they are buddies.
Randy found Cooper like this after she had fallen asleep one night. She's so funny.
We did our Thankful Tree at dinner each night again this year. This is a tradition I have enjoyed and I love making time to teach the girls gratitude and read verses from the Bible about being thankful.
Kendall's school picture for 1st grade! Her smiles in her school pictures crack me up!
Orphan Sunday was November 2nd, and our church participated for the first time this year! Our new orphan care ministry led by making an insert for the program, having a focused prayer time for orphans, and setting up an information table in the foyer to help people take next steps in orphan care. It was a great Sunday and I loved being part of it!
We were invited to go to Rosharon, to our friends' Cambodian church for their annual Thanksgiving dinner one Saturday night in November. Calli was so funny - she just ate and ate and ate. It was fried rice and egg rolls and other Asian dishes, and she just kept going back for more. So sweet!
Michelle and I spent a Saturday afternoon participating in a "Paint & Dine" event fundraiser that an area ministry partner had. We had lunch and were taught by a local artist how to paint a watercolor painting. It was super fun!
This girl loves playing with hair! Usually she wants to fix my hair, but lately Cooper's been letting her fix her hair too.
Our sweet friends the Worthams came down to talk to our new marriage ministry leaders about the ministry called Re-Engage that we are starting. We haven't seen them or talked much to them in so long and it was so much fun to spend Friday night and Saturday morning with them, hanging out and catching up. Love good friends like that, where you can just pick up where you left off!
One other day we celebrated this month, but I don't have a picture for, is November 8th. November 8th is Calli's 19 month Gotcha Day, and she was 19 months old when we got her. So, as of that day, she has been with us longer than she was not. We thought that was a day to celebrate! We love our sweet Calli Faith!
