Parade of Lights 2014

The weekend before Thanksgiving is our official Christmas decorating weekend! We do it early every year so that when we get back from Ft. Worth after Thanksgiving, our house is all decorated and we are ready for Christmas! Plus, the Lake Jackson Parade of Lights is always the weekend before Thanksgiving, so the two things go together.
This year we got a new tree! We got the same kind we already had - a 9 ft tall, slim tree. We love it. The girls loved making a rocketship out of the box. :)

Because of weather, the parade was moved from Saturday night to Sunday night. We bundled up and headed downtown for the parade, the night before we were to leave town for Ft. Worth. The girls were so excited about the Christmas parade!

We sat with lots of BPF friends and the girls loved seeing all their friends. They sat in the back of Mary's dad's truck, danced to the music, watched the floats and bands pass by, and had tons of fun.

Calli was not as scared as she was last year, but she still didn't love the loud honks from the fire trucks and big cars. Randy and I took turns holding her and after it was over, she said the "band" was her favorite. But then she said, "it loud." We had a great time and love that all the streets are lined with lights downtown now! Best time of year!
