We had such a fun December, celebrating Christmas all month! I kept reminding the girls that the fun of Christmas isn't just about the day - it's about all the fun days that lead up to it and all the extra cool, exciting parties, activities, and celebrations we get to have. I just love it!
We had LOTS of nights of fires in the fireplace, hot chocolate, and movies. The girls asked for it almost every night and most times we were able to say yes.
Granny got the girls these cute Christmas long sleeved tees! Matching clothes + Christmas clothes = BEST!
Randy and I got to go celebrate our 12th anniversary at our favorite anniversary date place - Taste of Texas! I think we have been every year since we moved to LJ and we love it. Even with a 2+ hour wait this time!
We have tried to be more intentional lately about taking the girls on one-on-one dates. I took Cooper one night to Panera for hot chocolate and then to get a new pair of boots that she needed She loved the special chocolate chip marshmallows they had!
Cooper decided she wanted to do something to jazz up her library for Christmas, so we went out one day and decorated it, put some candy canes in it, and then took a picture to post on facebook, inviting people to stop by. So fun!
One day after school was out, I signed us up to ring the bell for the Salvation Army through church. We had a 2 hour shift and the girls loved it! It helped that there was free face painting where we were, so for the hour that Randy came with us, he took the girls in one at a time to do that. That helped pass the time. Then we also took music, instruments, and a CD player and got to visit with lots of people!
Crafting and cooking on our days off! We sure did love having Cooper and Kendall home from school for two weeks. One day we made our cookies for Santa, and another we painted a special project for Gracie, Evy, and Oliver.
I put our Christmas cards up on our wall this year and loved looking at all our friends! I just love Christmas decorations.
We had to put our tree in a different spot this year because of our new furniture we got this year. We loved it!
As Kendall's class room mom, one of my jobs was to decorate her classroom door. Such a big project. Randy helped me and we were pleased with the final product!
Kendall made the reading team before Christmas break! That was her goal - to get all 35 points she needed before the break. That meant reading around 70 books or so and taking tests on them and she rocked it! So proud of her.
We had a great December and a wonderful Christmas! It's the best time of the year!
